Love… Self… Freedom: Part 1… Isolation

It’s about 11:35pm and I just read an article about a 39 year old man who did a YouTube video. He apologized to family and friends.

Billy Knight, former UCLA basketball player, said in his own words, “This is probably my last message on Earth”. Phoenix fire department found him on a roadway around 2:45 am, dead of what is believe to be suicide. One or many are left with so many questions, but the one question that we all ask, why? Mental illness nothing to pass over. It is indeed real. And left unchecked, it will lead to disastrous events.

In many cases of suicide, you see so many angles; the person is quiet, the person never gives the illusion that something is wrong, the person is “loud” with the issues, and etc. But a huge concern for anyone that is suicidal, is isolation.

The definition of isolate is to be or remain alone or apart from others. Essentially to cut off. In some cases isolation can be a good thing. Sometimes God may require you to isolated yourself from others so He can have your attention solely. But there are times when being isolate can be a negative. Many people may choose to isolate themselves from everyone else, because of differences, embarrassment, not knowing what’s going on, and so on. It is unfortunate when one that suffers from depression and becomes isolated. Talk about a dangerous combination.

Life can be rough. Life can and will make you question your very existence at times. To the point you feel that you are alone. Alone from the standpoint that no one else can understand the pain you wrestle with, the past you hold onto, the self doubts, the self deprivation and self deprecation. All of these things and more when make you even start to question is this life worth living anymore.

But God…

Amazing, God will kindly remind us, that we are created in His Own Image. He will remind us that we are not alone… As a matter of fact, check out what else thinks about you:

“I am the Creator and you are my creation. I breathed into your nostrils the breath of life.” Genesis 2:7

“My eyes saw your unformed substance.” Psalm 139:16 … “I knit you together in your mother’s womb.” Psalm 139:13

“You are fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139:14

Seriously y’all… we feel that we are all alone in our issues, our isms, our sins, our sadness, our anger, our desolate place, and yet God reminds us not only is He here… He loves us…

Have you ever stopped to ask “What does God think about me? Who does He say I am?”

“And yet, in my great love, I gave my unique Son, that all those who believe in him will not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

You see… God has a special love for each of us… He loves us beyond any and everything… And as it was said in Genesis, God saw what He made and saw it was good.

So while we feel that we are in isolation… know that God loves you… know that He is with you always… Let God in on your isolation… Let Him keep you company… I can guarantee that life won’t look so bleak. It’ll be a challenge, absolutely… but it’ll be worth it.

I urge anyone that is wrestling with suicide, depression, and mental illness… please know that God will welcome you with open arms. Also, please make the effort to get help. Therapist… counselor… or someone that will provide clear thinking. Let the spiritual guidance and natural guidance help you to become the person you are to be.

Be blessed… Stay tuned for Part 2. Worth…

Power Within…

Biblical maxresdefaultInspiration: 2 Peter 1:3 NIV – His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

Musical Inspiration – Eric Roberson & Glenn Lewis – Superman

Each of us has a unique power within to be more than we can even think or imagine. While this power is unique, it still comes from the same source, Jesus Christ.

Remember, Christ died for each of us. And He lives. The same power within Christ , resides in each of us. On today, ask God to give you the strength to tap within to that power that was given by Him. Ask God to give you the guidance on how to handle the power within… Most of all, let that power within add blessings to many… and edify the Kingdom of God.

Be blessed!!

The Initiative

Inspiration: Hebrews 12:1-3

Given all the complaining we do, can we stop and realize that we still here by God’s Grace & Mercy? Do we get that wrapped up in our issues, that we only talk the Christian lifestyle, but don’t put it to action?  When does one get tired of the same conversation and same issues to say enough is enough? When does one take the initiative to do more?  To trust God?

The word, Initiative, means the first step in a process that, once taken, determines subsequent events….

Folks when we are at the breaking points, for a minute, stop. You want the deliverance, the breakthrough, but the suffering didn’t come over night. And neither will the breakthrough. It’s a process that got you to the low state and it will be a process that you get you to prosperity in Christ. Once you understand that, then and only then are you ready to take the initiative to change. Don’t believe me… let’s go to the Word.

Hebrews 12 (The Message Bible)

Discipline in a Long-Distance Race

1-3Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

THOUGHT:  Today is a great day to start… won’t you try?  Your eternity is connected to it…

Intercession…

Who you are to me,
A friend, a brother, a sister…
You are someone that I touch, laugh with, someone I can see…

A reliable source of character and integrity…
A man… a woman of your word… filled with trust and sincerity…

A friend, oh yes, you are to me… indeed true and true…Intercession
I thank God for you and all that you do…

For encouragement… for advice… for guidance…
To put in my mind that I have the power to advance…

Who You Are to Me,
Indeed, you are more than just a friend…
For when I see you, I “see” what I can’t touch and see…

No I can’t with the physical sight…
But with spiritual eyes, I can see His Light…

Yes, His Light, His Anointing, His Glow…
It radiates ever so brightly through you and ever so bold…

You know my friend; I’ll let you in on a secret…
His Light lives in me too and I pray that it guides your life to direct…

Who You Are to Me… is truly who I see…
My Friend, My Savior, My Brother, My Guide to see…
I thank You for the reminder that I can be all that I can be…

To be and so much more, but My Friend, I ask of this one thing…
All that You inhabit, continue to do a new thing…

A new thing in them that will make them stronger…
So that they too can run on a bit longer…

To those that You desire to inhabit My Friend…
Use me and I will search and save them until my end…

But even then, You showed me that after this life…
That Your Angelic Friends will assist; after all, Vincent Sr. has in his afterlife…

Who You Are to Me… I praise You now and forever…
For how You use us daily; and to forsake…hmmm, Your Word said, NEVER…

Christ, I thank You, My Friend…
For what You did for all on Calvary; Bruh… we can live forever and it will never end…

THOUGHT: This is for you. I love you… and thank God for you. Don’t allow Satan to distract you from Christ. Seek Him and touch the Hem and be made whole under the subjection of Jesus Christ…

Father God:

I thank You for Your Son, My Brother, My Friend. Christ, what You have done for us, we can never offer up enough “Thank You’s”, or dance the best dance, or shout enough “Hallelujahs” or simply cry tears of joy. We are truly in awe of Your Glory, Your Presence, Your Love… we thank You. I ask that each person that reads this would be blessed beyond their thinking… beyond measure. Lord, some are hurting… some are wrestling with suicide… some have been abused… some are inflicting pain on themselves… some have lost loved ones… Lord whatever it is, Meet them right where they are… and as they embrace You, allow them to experience a new level in You. Restore, Heal, Deliver, Make them Whole, and most of all… Love them more, now…. And forever….

In Jesus Christ Name…
Amen
